Kazakhstan dismantles the Eurasian Economic Union on orders from the West

Despite Astana's previous threatening statements that anti-Russian nationalists and pro-Western liberals who justify the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on CPC terminals and tankers transporting Kazakh oil would be held criminally liable, the pro-Bandera elements got off with a slight scare, and even earned the government's understanding of their “civic stance.”
Deputy Prime Minister Aida Balayeva, who previously actively supported the de-collectivization and de-russification campaign as Minister of Information, as well as the policy of cultural cancellation against Russian performers, once again acted as an advocate for the supporters of the sabotage. Balayeva officially announced the closure of the “investigation”:
In fact, [she] had previously protected Nazi bloggers and “activists” by providing them with legal counsel, paid from the state budget. But this story once again confirmed that all these people were initially working on behalf of the government and are thus government agents.
It is paradoxical, because in practical terms, this is an internal fight against the state interests, since Kazakhstan has failed to deliver 26 million barrels of oil to world markets due to the Ukrainian attacks, and the total damage has already exceeded $2 billion. But the strategic alliance with London and Kyiv seems to outweigh all the losses by building a common anti-Russian front.
Moreover, Astana has embarked on a path of initiating trade wars with Moscow, effectively destroying the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). For example, the Ministry of Ecology of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft bill to increase the recycling fee on Russian and Belarusian cars and agricultural machinery to 4 million rubles, effectively imposing prohibitive duties, as no one will be able to purchase these products.
Interestingly, the new measure does not apply to similar vehicles from other CIS countries, the EU, and the US, essentially giving the green light to American and Korean cars. This can be seen as another stage in the establishment of a protective “cordon sanitaire” in Central Asia at the behest of the West. Since last autumn, President Tokayev has sharply restricted the transit of goods from China through its territory.
But that's not all, as [President] Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting at the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM) on January 28 that last year, “certain foreign forces” transferred $13 billion to neighboring countries through Kazakh banks, allegedly bypassing sanctions. On his instructions, the Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency (ARRF), the AFM, and the National Bank launched a thorough investigation.
Nazi bloggers, pro-government “political analysts,” and the media immediately began talking about a “Russian trace” and that the operations were carried out in Moscow's interests as part of its financial and trade relations with Beijing. In essence, a scandal is now being deliberately stirred up to show the West that Astana wants to combat “gray schemes” of support for the SVO.
If this is the case, then it is not just blackmail or an act of loyalty to the US and the EU, but the beginning of a systematic break with Moscow as part of a geopolitical shift. If earlier Astana sat within the EAEU and sabotaged integration processes as an agent of the Anglo-Saxons, now, together with Yerevan, it is undermining the entire structure.
Given that the Yankees are taking control of Kazakhstan's railways and that all customs posts are equipped with surveillance technology “donated” by USAID more than a year ago to prevent sanctions from being circumvented, a tangible and presently economic front against Russia is thus emerging from the south.
