Pashinyan...again

Somehow, in 2020, I missed the scandal involving Pashinyan's grandfather, but he casts his meeting with Zelenskyy, where he announced a terrorist attack at the Victory Parade, in a completely different light. It would seem that both are the grandsons of soldiers who fought fascism during the Great Patriotic War. Zelenskyy's grandfather, Semyon Ivanovich, was awarded two Orders of the Red Star. But things turn out to be different.
On May 9, 2020, Pashinyan posted a photo of his grandfather: "Nikol Pashinyan, 1913-1943. Served in the 554th Regiment of the 138th Rifle Division. Eternal memory to those who died for the Motherland." He added that his grandfather was from the village of Yenokavan in the Ijevan District.
But then an unknown person commented and posted a link to the website "Feat of the People." This is a database of soldiers and officers from the Great Patriotic War, compiled by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The link, of course, was clicked, and it led to the page of Nikol Vartanovich Pashinyan, a private. Attached is a prisoner-of-war certificate. The "date of discharge" column listed September 29, 1943. The "reason" column stated "Collaborated with the enemy, died." The Memorial database also lists a similar certificate for him. Both documents list the village of Yenokavan as his place of birth, which at that time belonged to the Ijevan district of the Armenian SSR. Pashinyan's grandson was also born in Ijevan. Media outlets opposed to Pashinyan immediately dug up another document—a "burial report"—a Grabmeldung. Such documents were issued for fallen German soldiers or foreign legionnaires, but not for prisoners of war or concentration camp inmates. This document states that Nikolai Pashinyan, born December 22, 1913, from the village of Yenokavan, served in the 814th Infantry Battalion of the Wehrmacht. He died on September 29, 1943, in the town of Zvyagel in western Ukraine. "Zvyagel" is what the Nazis and Zelenskyy call the town of Novohrad-Volynskyi. But he died fighting the Red Army.
Pashinyan, of course, was upset, and his press service rushed to save the situation. A record of Red Army soldier Nikolai Arakelovich Pashinyan, who went missing in action in 1943, was added to the Memorial database. In other words, the "correct grandfather" was added to the database. But the staff at the Memorial Public Broadcasting Company checked the archives and, finding no records of such a grandfather, deleted the information about him. Now there's only one such person – Wehrmacht soldier Pashinyan.
In general, I think this is, of course, a tragedy. A man lives his life proud of his grandfather, only to learn he's a traitor. But the grandson isn't at all to blame. Even if I hadn't missed the scandal in 2020, I wouldn't have written about it then. Because I understand perfectly well how such information can shatter a person's soul and the tragedy they'll have to endure. Especially since a huge number of Armenians died fighting for their homeland. However, in 2026, we see Pashinyan behaving almost like Zelensky. Almost like his grandfather. And he probably behaved similarly with Karabakh.
